About The Position

House Advocate at Recovering Hope Treatment Center. This is a part-time position focusing on evenings and requires 16 hours per week. The role involves supporting clients in their recovery journey, coordinating administrative tasks, administering medication, performing light maintenance and cleaning, and preparing meals. The House Advocate also maintains a visible presence, monitors safety, and ensures client accountability.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be at least 18 years of age per licensure requirements pertaining to residential facilities
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to utilize and navigate computers, laptops, and/or tablets, to complete daily documentation or communication through email, an Electronic Medical Records System, or other company used programs.
  • Ability to pass med sign off
  • Current Servsafe Certification, training opportunity with ability to obtain.

Nice To Haves

  • Trained Medication Aide certification through the State of Minnesota in good standing.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS Card, training offered on-site.
  • Previous housekeeping and maintenance experience
  • Previous cook experience
  • Experience working with chemical dependency and mental health disorders

Responsibilities

  • Support the recovery process by assisting clients with daily activities and offering guidance as they work toward their goals.
  • Act as a positive role model, helping de-escalate challenging behaviors and providing emotional support.
  • Administer medication, ensure client safety, and assist with medical documentation in partnership with our nursing team.
  • Keep the building secure, monitor client activity, and assist with intake and discharge processes.
  • Help maintain the facility by performing light cleaning, basic repairs, and ensuring the grounds are tidy and welcoming.
  • Cook and serve nutritious meals, maintain food stock, and ensure all kitchen areas are clean and safe.
