About The Position

Hyundai of Turnersville, a Penske Automotive Group dealership, is looking for an Hourly Technician to join their team and deliver extraordinary customer experiences. The Hourly Technician will perform repairs and maintenance work in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and time standards for an excellent customer experience. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment.
  • One to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Genuine interest in providing an exceptional customer experience.
  • Friendliness, enthusiasm, reliability, with a positive "team-player" attitude.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems.
  • Ability to use technical reference materials and technical manuals.
  • Ability to communicate technical terms to non-technical audience.
  • Ability to follow processes to ensure quality and safety.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Ability to listen to customer and determine how to assist them.
  • Maintains positive attitude.
  • Time management skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Excellent communication skills and works well in a team environment.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Good driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Dealership experience.
  • Brand knowledge is preferred, but not required.
  • Previous Automotive Technician experience or recent completion of automotive tech trade school preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and maintenance work in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and time standards.
  • Deliver extraordinary customer experiences.
  • Communicate technical information regarding customer vehicles to Service Advisors.
  • Comply with all manufacturer standards of quality and timeliness for repairs and maintenance work.
  • Ensure that all estimates and work orders are accurate.
  • Understand and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations that affect shop operations, such as handling and disposal of hazardous waste, OSHA, and use of safety and health personal protective equipment.
