About The Position
The Hourly Detailer plays a crucial role in maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of vehicles within a retail automotive environment. This position is responsible for ensuring that every vehicle is thoroughly cleaned, polished, and prepared to meet high-quality standards before delivery to customers or display on the lot. The role demands attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to upholding the dealership’s reputation for excellence. The Hourly Detailer works closely with sales and service teams to coordinate vehicle readiness and support overall customer satisfaction. Ultimately, this position contributes directly to the positive first impression customers have of the dealership and its inventory.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in vehicle detailing or a similar role preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning and detailing of vehicles including washing, waxing, vacuuming, and interior cleaning.
- Inspect vehicles for any cosmetic defects or issues and report them to management for resolution.
- Maintain detailing equipment and supplies, ensuring they are clean, organized, and in good working condition.
- Coordinate with sales and service departments to prioritize vehicle detailing schedules and meet deadlines.
- Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations related to cleaning products and procedures.
