About The Position
Spotsylvania County Public Schools is seeking Cafeteria Monitors to assist in the maintenance of an orderly, safe and pleasant atmosphere in the cafeteria by supervising, assisting and supporting students at lunch during the 2025-2026 School Year. Spotsylvania County Public Schools is one of the largest School Divisions in the Commonwealth of Virginia, comprised of 31 schools and home to a diverse student population of over 24,000. Requirements
- Criminal record and background checks will be completed after an offer is made.
Responsibilities
- Circulate among the tables during the mealtime so as to be available to children who need help.
- Assist the janitorial staff with the cleanliness of tables and surrounding areas by washing tables when students leave the cafeteria.
- Assist in establishing, implementing and supervising orderly disposal of food waste return of trays and dismissal from the cafeteria.
- Help students develop proper eating habits in the areas of manners and nutrition.
- Observe students not eating lunch and call to the attention of school nurse.
- Perform any other duties or responsibilities designated by the Cafeteria Manager.
