The role of a Shuttle Driver involves the proper and safe operation of shuttle buses and the professional transportation of passengers.

Requirements

  • Less than High School education; or one month of related experience/training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with a current address and an acceptable DMV record
  • Availability to work 3rd shift (overnight) and/or weekends may be required
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and colleagues
  • Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) using American currency
  • Employees must maintain a neat, clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily vehicle inspections
  • Maintain the cleanliness of bus interiors
  • Handle fueling as needed
  • Log trip counts accurately
  • Assist passengers with luggage or other travel items (especially in airport locations)
  • Courteously assist customers with questions and provide directions
  • Escalate complex issues to the Facility Manager when necessary
  • Immediately report any accidents, safety hazards, oil spills, debris, or violations of company policy to the garage office or manager
  • Provide necessary assistance to disabled passengers
