About The Position

Transports guests in hotel property vehicles by performing the following duties. This role also involves assisting guests with luggage, directions, and providing general guest service support. The driver will also assist the front desk with tasks such as answering phones and delivering items to guest rooms. Additionally, the position requires monitoring the security of hallways and parking lots, and maintaining public areas of the hotel.

Requirements

Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
Must have a valid driving record
Must have proof of insurability
Regularly required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, bend or twist; and talk or hear.
Frequently required to use hands to handle, grasp or type; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and to push, pull or lift over 10 pounds.
Occasionally required to sit and taste or smell.
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Loads, unloads and delivers guest baggage.
Provides transportation for guests between hotel and airport, attractions or businesses, etc.
Maintains hotel vehicles, including filling gas tanks, cleaning interior and exterior and driving in a manner not to cause wear and tear. Logs mileage.
Assists guests with luggage, directions, attraction suggestions, etc.
Assists front desk by answering phones, delivering guest items (pillow, blankets, rollaways, etc.), and providing guest service support. Provides breaks for front desk as needed.
Monitors security of hallways and parking lot.
Picks up and maintains public areas including lobby, business center and pool area including removing room service trays.
