We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Shuttle Driver to join our team at the Hampton Inn & Suites - Grand Rapids Downtown! As a Shuttle Driver, you will be responsible for transporting hotel guests to and from designated locations in a safe and timely manner. If you have excellent driving skills, a friendly demeanor, and enjoy providing exceptional customer service, we would love to hear from you! JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for transporting hotel guests.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required
  • Satisfactory criminal background screening required

  • Hotel experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Driving the hotel shuttle van to transport guests
  • Maintain the shuttle van including; washing windows, keeping it filled with gasoline, and removing trash
  • Take arrivals list with you so you can verify the guests name and length of stay
  • Follow all traffic laws diligently as your actions are highly noticeable while driving the shuttle van, and any reckless behavior may be reported by others.
  • Be truthful about incidents, accidents, and traffic infractions. Report any accidents or incidents immediately, honesty is a must
  • Speak with our guests, you are their first point of contact and control the guests impression, which in return sets the tone for their entire stay
  • No gum chewing, eating, drinking or smoking in shuttle van
  • Maintain a low volume on the radio to ensure conversations with guests can flow smoothly.
  • Always wear a seatbelt. Encourage the guests to also wear their seatbelt
  • Shuttle van is not a vehicle for personal use (i.e. errands, lunch, etc.)
