About The Position

As a McKibbon Security Guard, you play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming environment for guests and team members. This position combines traditional security responsibilities with the warmth and professionalism of the hospitality industry. You will protect the property, respond to emergencies, and support guests with exceptional service.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a security role
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency with computers and basic math
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism

Nice To Haves

  • Hotel or restaurant experience (highly preferred)
  • Security Officer license or safety training certification (preferred)
  • CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and property assets
  • Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, and maintain positive guest relations
  • Address and resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel features, services, and hours of operation
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide clear direction
  • Handle disruptive guests professionally and with a customer‑focused approach
  • Conduct regular property patrols, ensuring secure doors and well‑maintained stairwells
  • Communicate guest information and special requests to appropriate departments
  • Serve as the primary contact for emergency personnel arriving on property
