About The Position

The Hotel Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and servicing assigned guest rooms and bathrooms in accordance with hotel brand standards. This role involves changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces to maintain a high standard of cleanliness. The attendant will restock housekeeping carts, report maintenance issues, and ensure rooms are ready for guest arrivals within established timeframes. Exceptional guest service is expected, including responding promptly and courteously to guest requests. The role also requires adherence to all safety, sanitation, and chemical handling procedures, as well as maintaining the confidentiality and security of guest rooms and belongings. Additional tasks may include cleaning hallways, service areas, or participating in special cleaning projects. Collaboration with team members and effective communication with supervisors regarding room status are essential.

Requirements

  • Push Heavy carts.
  • Bend and reach to dust, clean and make beds
  • Stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods.
  • Talk to many different kinds of people to give information, answer questions and provide required services.
  • Visually inspect rooms for cleanliness and guest belongings that have been left behind.
  • Use written communication skills to mark completed rooms on daily paperwork.
  • Move fingers, arms and hands quickly and easily to perform cleaning duties.
  • Lift all equipment and supplies on and off cart.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year prior hotel housekeeping experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or damaged items in guest rooms and public areas promptly.
  • Ensure all rooms are cleaned and ready for guest arrivals within established timeframes.
  • Respond to guest requests promptly and courteously, providing exceptional guest service.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and chemical handling procedures.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of guest rooms and belongings.
  • Assist with additional housekeeping tasks such as hallways, service areas, or special cleaning projects as assigned.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors regarding room status.
