The Hotel Night Auditor is responsible for preparing daily revenue reports by auditing Micros tapes and journals to break down revenue, covers, waiters' fees, tips paid out, and settlements by type and cashier. This role involves running audit reports and journals from all credit card and computer systems, inputting revenue, expenses, and allowances to generate daily reports such as the Guest Ledger Summary and the Daily Restaurant Summary. The Night Auditor will balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain files, and reset the system for the next day's operations. Additionally, this position supports by making corrections and adjustments, handling computer issues, ensuring proper distribution of documentation and reports, and reviewing/correcting discrepancies in the Front Desk System. The role also requires coordinating with the front desk and restaurant/bar closing to ensure smooth file maintenance and system resets. The ability to communicate effectively with guests, vendors, and associates, adhere to safety and health standards, and assist with statistical reports and presentations is essential. The position may also involve performing duties of a front desk supervisor, guest service agent, reservations agent, and telephone operator as needed. Accuracy in reporting information and adherence to all StepStone and hotel policies and procedures are critical. Attendance at required hotel meetings is also expected.
