About The Position

The Hotel Night Auditor is responsible for providing superior guest service, managing reservations, assigning accommodations, handling PBX calls, managing their bank and account postings, and maintaining knowledge of hotel operations. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, speed, and accuracy, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently. Effective communication with guests and team members is crucial.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Agilysys Stay Hotel computer system, calculator, credit card machine, fax machine, copier, and super playmate players card system.
  • Perform job functions with exceptional attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook applications experience required.
  • Ability to always communicate effectively with hotel guests as well as all levels of team members.
  • Ability to effectively use computer to access, understand and input guest information.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior hotel experience preferred.
  • Data entry and 10 key experiences preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Providing superior guest service positively affecting interactions with external and internal guests and team members.
  • Booking guest reservations for the hotel when they call in.
  • Assigning guest accommodation in accordance with current procedures.
  • Answering PBX calls and either directing them to appropriate personnel or answering guest questions at the time of call.
  • Handling assigned bank properly and performing account postings.
  • Maintaining knowledge of hotel occupancy status, special events, in-house groups, and other situations affecting the reception desk’s daily operation.
  • Accepting same day and advanced reservations as required.
  • Maintaining guest relations in a positive manner; referring guests to appropriate personnel if unable to satisfy guests’ complaints.
  • Maintaining ongoing knowledge of all company services and entertainment opportunities.
