About The Position

Hyatt House Seattle/Redmond, an upscale extended-stay hotel in Seattle’s Eastside suburb, greets guests with 149 guest rooms and suites, the first-floor H Bar, an indoor pool and 2,007 sq. ft. of event space. The hotel is on Bear Creek Parkway, near downtown Redmond and Redmond Town Center and a half-mile from Redmond Transit Center Bay 4 — with free hotel garage parking for employees. LodgeWorks is actively hiring for a Maintenance Technician. LodgeWorks is a privately held hotel development and management company. Requirements

Capable of exerting up to 60 pounds of force occasionally.
Capable of standing for an entire shift or for an extended amount of time.
Capable of reaching overhead, utilizing both hands, leaning over, stooping and kneeling.
Eager to be part of a great work culture and team.

Nice To Haves

Practiced, with six months' related experience in hospitality or a service industry.

Responsibilities

Perform basic repair and maintenance of facilities, guest rooms and public spaces.
Maintain building by performing basic repairs, carpentry, shoveling, clean-up work, snow and ice removal, plumbing, electrical, painting and any other related maintenance activities as needed.
Inspect and maintain machinery and equipment for conformance with operations and safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work and storage areas.
Ensure security of any assigned keys.
Assist with Lost Prevention as needed to ensure the safety and security of guests and associates.
Assist with preventive maintenance and complete work orders in a timely manner.
Respond in a courteous manner to all guest questions, complaints and/or requests to ensure outstanding guest satisfaction.
Assist in checking and making routine repairs and assist on major repairs on all hotel equipment.
Service the hotel’s pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters; complete maintenance requests forms and record logs.
Maintain the building’s exterior and curb appeal.
Assist with setting up, tearing down and cleaning up banquet and meeting rooms as assigned.
Respond to all emergency situations and notify the appropriate authorities and managers.
Be able to use two-way radios, telephones, general office equipment and various types of maintenance equipment.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a safe and hazard-free work environment.
Ensure the security of inventory, such as tools, supplies, equipment, furniture and televisions.
Replenish supplies in a timely and efficient manner, minimizing waste and ensuring that equipment is prepared and operational for the next shift.
Make regular rounds of the building to ensure proper operation of equipment, while also looking for any safety and security items and report them immediately.
Understand and practice all tasks and procedures in accordance with OSHA and company standards.
Assist in any other task or duties as requested by management.
