PT Hotel Maintenance Technician

About The Position

The Maintenance Technician completes routine, preventive, and emergency hotel maintenance projects and repairs as directed by the Chief Engineer. The role also supports guest service, property inspections, safety and security systems, grounds upkeep, basic building repairs, and function-room setup and maintenance.

Requirements

Two years’ experience.
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Able to bend and stoop.
Able to climb ladders.
Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
English verbal and written communication skills.
Availability to work holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

Respond promptly and professionally to guests’ maintenance needs and provide courteous service.
Complete assigned tasks, work orders, and special projects.
Inspect the property daily to ensure grounds and work areas meet standards.
Ensure safety equipment and conditions are up to code and report concerns to the Chief Engineer or General Manager.
Follow proper lockout/tagout procedures.
Complete assigned preventive maintenance projects.
As assigned, maintain, monitor, and test the hotel’s emergency and security systems, features, and procedures.
Check that tools and equipment are in working condition and up to code, report concerns, and maintain their security.
Maintain grounds near the pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, fitness area, and restrooms to the required standard.
Perform basic building-services repairs, including wall vinyl repairs, tile work, grouting, caulking, plastering, and painting.
Conduct property walks to check cleanliness, functionality, and security.
Set up, maintain, and refresh function rooms as required.
