Facilities- Hotel Maintenance Tech II
About The Position
Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Tech II to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hotel building systems. This role involves conducting routine inspections of guest rooms, common areas, and back-of-house facilities to identify maintenance issues and ensure compliance with safety standards. The technician will respond promptly to maintenance requests, troubleshoot problems, and implement timely solutions. Additionally, they will maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, collaborate with the Facilities Manager on preventive maintenance schedules, and perform repairs and replacements of fixtures, appliances, and building components. Ensuring a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with health and safety regulations, and operating specialized equipment safely and effectively are key aspects of this position. General maintenance tasks as assigned will also be part of the responsibilities.
Requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency in performing preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Proficiency in facility management systems and computerized maintenance management software.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Physical capability to perform demanding maintenance tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hotel building systems.
- Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, common areas, and back-of-house facilities to identify maintenance issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, troubleshooting problems and implementing timely solutions.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment servicing in the facility management system.
- Collaborate with the Facilities Manager and maintenance team to develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
- Perform repairs and replacements of fixtures, appliances, and building components while adhering to manufacturer specifications.
- Ensure all work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and organized manner in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment and tools safely and effectively.
- Other general maintenance as assigned.
