About The Position

This position is responsible for the effective operation of the laundry department on a daily basis. The goal of the department is to produce clean spot‑free linens for the hotel in a timely and efficient manner. To understand, operate, and perform all functions of the laundry department. Consistently strive to enhance overall operation of the department.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of the English language.
  • Ability to perform physical and repetitious tasks.
  • Flexible availability to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous laundry experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Washing, drying, and folding all housekeeping linen to assigned specifications.
  • Inspecting all linen processed to ensure it is free of stains, separating any stained linen to be retreated as reclaim linen.
  • Inspecting all linen processed for damage and removing damaged items from service.
  • Regulating laundry machinery to ensure all equipment is working correctly, and reporting any damage or errors to management for repairs.
  • Maintaining proper levels of chemicals needed to launder items.
  • Adhering to all cleaning chemical and machine operating procedures.
  • Stocking all linen closets and room attendant carts with appropriate supplies and linens daily.
  • Furnishing necessary supplies to room attendants and guestrooms as assigned.
  • Completing laundry room cleaning projects as assigned.
  • Assisting in the monthly linen inventory.
  • Completing any other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
  • Taking breaks and meal periods with posted schedule, Knott's Berry Farm, and California State policies.
  • Providing guest service according to Six Flags standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performing all duties in compliance with Six Flags Safety guidelines and requirements and reporting all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
  • Meeting scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Meeting Six Flags' attendance requirements as outlined in Six Flags' attendance policies.
  • Adhering to Six Flags' Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
