About The Position

The Hotel Laundry Attendant maintains hotel linen in accordance with company and brand standards through efficient cleaning and processing. The role involves sorting laundry, removing damaged or stained linen, loading washers and dryers to recommended weights, and operating, maintaining, and cleaning laundry equipment. The attendant reports mechanical failures and supply shortages to a supervisor or manager. Employees work primarily indoors and must meet the physical demands described below.

Requirements

• Must be flexible in work hours to accommodate last-minute scheduling changes.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills to engage and interact with associates and guests.
• Must be detail-oriented in supervising staff, inspecting facilities, and completing assignments.
• Must be available to work weekend shifts.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry approximately 20 pounds at minimum.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and kneel, bend, crawl, squat, and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Provide service and teamwork to meet and exceed customer and team member expectations.
• Sort laundry by fabric type, color, item, or soil concentration before washing.
• Pull damaged and/or stained linen before loading washers.
• Load washers and dryers to recommended weights and ensure maximum machine loading capacity.
• Operate, maintain, and clean laundry equipment according to company standards.
• Inform a supervisor or manager of mechanical failures or supply shortages.
