About The Position

Provides clean and sanitary linen for Guests and is done in an efficient manner. Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations. Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.

Requirements

• Knowledge of all cleaning chemicals used.
• Knowledge of assigned cleaning equipment.
• Dependable, honest and trustworthy.
• Must have a good attendance record.
• Physically capable of pushing, bending, standing and walking for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• No prior experience necessary
• No computer skills required.
• Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check and submit to drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean, neat working area.
• Assures that laundry equipment is running properly.
• Washes lines as they are available.
• Keeps inventory of linen in storage.
• Maintains all pertinent equipment.
• Folds and stores laundry appropriately.
• Keeps count of laundry washed per day.
• Trains in for room cleaning.
• Responds to guest inquiries in a timely, expedient manner.
• Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole.
• Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
• Maintains confidentiality at all times.
• Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
