About The Position

The Millennium Hotel Knickerbocker Chicago is seeking a part-time Laundry Attendant to join their team. This role is integral to delivering an exceptional guest experience by ensuring all linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry are clean, fresh, and ready for use. The Laundry Attendant plays a crucial role behind the scenes, directly contributing to guest satisfaction and the overall success of the hotel by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and comfort. The hotel, located near Chicago's Magnificent Mile, blends classic charm with modern comfort and is part of the global Millennium Hotels & Resorts group, known for its commitment to quality, consistency, and service excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Sorting, washing, drying, folding, and stocking hotel linens, towels, robes, and employee uniforms to ensure a consistent supply of clean items.
  • Inspecting laundry for stains, damage, and items requiring rewash, and pre-treating stained items.
  • Reporting discarded or damaged linens to management.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe laundry area.
  • Monitoring the proper operation of laundry equipment, cleaning dryer lint traps, and reporting any equipment issues.
  • Ensuring smooth, efficient operations aligned with brand standards.
  • Identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Delivering consistent, high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
