680 Hotel Houseperson
About The Position
Oversees maintenance of all areas of hotel housekeeping and supervises and instructs staff. Maintains all areas of hotel. Assists Guest Room Attendants when needed. Trains in for room cleaning. Ensures all guest contact is handled in a friendly and efficient manner. Responds to guest inquiries in a timely, expedient manner. Distributes incoming supplies. Distributes laundry to designated areas. Stacks linen room shelves neatly. Assists in laundry when needed. Trains in for use of laundry equipment, cleaning chemicals and cleaning methods. Maintains the appearance of the hotel by light repair work, i.e. touch-up paint, plaster repair. Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole. Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training. Maintains confidentiality at all times. Is sensitive to Native American Culture. Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations. Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of all cleaning chemicals used.
- Knowledge of assigned cleaning equipment.
- Dependable, honest and trustworthy.
- Must have a good attendance record.
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check and submit to drug testing.
