About The Position

Maintains clean, orderly and attractive all public space within the unit and responds to guest’s requests in an efficient and pleasant manner. Supports the room turnover flow in the housekeeping department. Is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the facility’s linens and guests’ laundry as directed.

Requirements

Partial High School education; High School Diploma/G.E.D equivalent preferred.
Strong sanitation habits.
Strong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
Ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management.
Ability to multitask and prioritize when receiving many requests during a work shift.
Logistic and storage organization knowledge.
Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit.
Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
Lifting, carrying and pushing up to 35lbs. regularly, 45 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Ability to stand for the entire work day and to climb steps regularly.
Withstanding temperature extremes in indoor and outdoor environments.
Reading and writing work related documents in English.
Speech recognition and clarity, including ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English.
Constantly communicates and receives verbal communication with other employees in a fast-paced environment.
Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties.

Responsibilities

Pick up dirty linen and trash form guestrooms in order to speed up Housekeeping operation.
Clear dirty linen and trash from hallways.
Ensure assigned areas are clean and neat as directed by management.
Deliver requested items, such as pillows, rollaways, cribs, microwaves… to guestrooms as directed.
Deliver supplies to assigned areas of facility.
Follow biohazard, safety, general clean room and quarterly mattress rotation procedures.
Vacuums all halls, lobbies and edges.
Perform laundry duties as directed by management.
Replaces chemicals in the laundry area.
Organizes and distribute all housekeeping deliveries.
Collect amenities for Clean the World reuse of amenities program.
Clean and organizes housekeeping storage areas.
Communicates supervisor about amenities and chemical usage in order to improve financial control.
Collect and track recycle in order to improve our recycling practices.
