About The Position

Onix Hospitality is seeking a Hotel Housekeeping Director to join their team at Hyatt Riverfront. Onix Hospitality owns and manages eight award-winning hotels in the Mid-Atlantic region and Florida, operating over 1,000 hotel rooms and serving more than half a million customers annually. The Hotel Housekeeping Director is a crucial role in achieving the department's goals and quality standards, impacting cleanliness, associate morale, budgetary goals, and interdepartmental relations.

Requirements

Any combination of education, training, and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform.
High school graduate preferred.
Previous hotel-related experience desired.

Responsibilities

Achieve goals and quality standards of the housekeeping department.
Impact all elements of the department including standards of cleanliness, associate morale, budgetary goals, and interdepartmental relations.
Maintain a working knowledge of all housekeeping cleaning equipment and preventive maintenance programs.
Train all associates on the proper usage and handling of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Conduct regularly scheduled monthly departmental meetings and weekly meetings with the General Manager.
Prepare, get approval from the General Manager, and post the weekly schedule in a timely manner.
Control overtime through proper scheduling based on room counts and respond to any problems.
Conduct daily walk-arounds and documented inspections of guest rooms and public areas, forwarding reports to the General Manager.
Develop and implement an incentive program to acknowledge positive guest satisfaction surveys and recognize specific associates mentioned on comment forms.
Manage all linens, blankets, room supplies, equipment, vacuums, washing machines, and dryers.
