About The Position

The Hotel Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment and ensuring guest satisfaction through exemplary service. This role involves a variety of tasks related to cleaning and stocking throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, common areas, and laundry facilities. The position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping experience and knowledge
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• Previous janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Must be able to follow security policies and procedures and report all violations.
• Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow through, courtesy, cooperativeness, and work with minimum supervision.
• Ability to work shifts including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Ability to speak, read and write English.
• Superior guest relation skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Maid Carts stocked throughout the day and at end of day.
• Stripping all beds in timely fashion on both floors.
• Laundry bins brought up from P-1.
• Housekeeping office shelves are fully stocked at end of day.
• Vending/Ice area and Elevator Lobbies cleaned throughout the day.
• Laundry bags for dirty linen are cleared throughout the day.
• All bins more than half full of dirty laundry are taken to P-1 by end of day.
• Hallways are vacuumed Thursday-Monday.
• Monday and Thursday the hallway carpet edging is vacuumed with backpack vacuum.
• Supplies stocked as needed.
• Maintain a commitment to guest satisfaction and exemplary guest service.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with safety procedures, including use of required safety equipment. Identify unsafe practices or conditions and inform supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
• Operate and maintain various cleaning equipment.
• Remove trash on a continuous basis throughout the hotel.
• Handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations and company requirements.
