About The Position

The goal of this position is to enhance the customer experience by keeping the facility in a clean and orderly condition within defined timelines, exceeding guest expectations. This role involves delivering quality service that meets guest needs, working in a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized manner while abiding by all health and safety regulations. The housekeeper will maintain a professional appearance and act as a role model according to the established grooming and appearance policy, staying informed on department and property knowledge and promotions. Responsibilities include cleaning hotel rooms, hallways, linen rooms, and employee and storage areas, as well as maintaining and cleaning all equipment used. Proper documentation of duties and reporting of safety hazards or maintenance deficiencies are also key aspects of the role. The housekeeper will greet guests with a proper salutation and pleasant expression, assist guests with issues within their authority to ensure satisfaction, and perform all duties in a quiet and orderly manner. They will also assist with department projects as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to clean as directed at an acceptable performance rate.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Must be able to operate equipment, including but not limited to vacuum cleaners, cleaning supplies, mop, and broom.
  • Applicants should possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must have ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
  • Must have the ability to lift, carry and transport up to 40 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous casino/hotel industry experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required.
  • Six (6) months of previous cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Cleans hotel rooms, hallways, linen rooms, and employee and storage areas in the hotel, as directed.
  • Maintains and cleans all equipment used throughout the course of a shift, as directed.
  • Maintains proper documentation of all duties accomplished during a working shift, as directed.
  • Reports all safety hazards or maintenance deficiencies for proper handling and in a timely manner.
  • Greets all guests throughout shift with the proper salutation and pleasant expression.
  • Assists guests with issues that are within authority to provide, ensuring guests' satisfaction while operating within established guidelines and policies.
  • Performs all duties in a quiet and orderly manner.
  • Assists with department projects, as needed.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
