About The Position
The Guest Room Attendant helps ensure guest rooms and public areas are maintained to high standards of cleanliness and comfort. The role supports guest satisfaction by creating a welcoming, hygienic environment and contributing to the hotel's reputation and operational success. The attendant cleans and sanitizes rooms, replenishes supplies, reports maintenance or safety concerns, and coordinates with front desk and maintenance teams to support room readiness and guest requests. Attention to detail, efficiency, physical stamina, communication, and safe handling of cleaning products are important to the position.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Physical capability to perform cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, with a commitment to safety protocols.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, communication skills, physical stamina, and time management.
Nice To Haves
- Previous housekeeping or similar hospitality-industry experience.
- Experience working in a hotel or resort.
- Familiarity with hospitality software or room management systems.
- Certification in hospitality or housekeeping services.
- Multilingual abilities.
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms to established standards.
- Replenish guest room supplies, such as toiletries, towels, and minibar items.
- Inspect rooms for maintenance issues and promptly report damages or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
- Use and store cleaning equipment and chemicals safely according to company policies.
- Collaborate with front desk and maintenance teams to coordinate room readiness and address guest requests.
