About The Position

This role serves as the first point of contact for guests, providing friendly greetings and exceptional guest service that exceeds expectations. The Night Auditor is responsible for registering guests, collecting payment, and accurately recording payment data. This position involves providing quotes, upselling rooms, and managing all check-in and check-out tasks, ensuring all charges are correctly applied to guest accounts. The Night Auditor also handles guest disputes, answers telephone inquiries, and provides information about casino promotions, events, restaurants, and local attractions. A key responsibility is ensuring all cash and cash equivalents are accounted for at the beginning and end of each shift. Additionally, the role provides administrative and program support to management and staff, communicates with housekeeping to ensure room readiness, and maintains a working knowledge of business objectives to deliver quality products and services. The position requires working in a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized manner, adhering to health and safety regulations, and maintaining a professional appearance. Staying informed about casino facilities and events is crucial for advising guests and team members. All other duties as assigned will also be performed.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of principles and practices regarding customer service in the casino/hotel industry.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to utilize a variety of standard computer systems/office productivity software at an intermediate or advanced level.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • Hotel and casino industry experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as first point of contact for guests with friendly greetings and exceptional guest service.
  • Registers guests, collects payment, and registers data regarding payment for expenditures.
  • Provides quotes for guests and upsells rooms whenever possible.
  • Performs all check-in and check-out tasks.
  • Ensures all charges are applied to the correct guest account.
  • Resolves all guest disputes.
  • Answers external and internal telephone inquiries, delivers mail and responds to inquiries regarding casino promotions, events, restaurants, surrounding area and attractions.
  • Ensures all cash and cash equivalents are accounted for at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Provides administrative and program support to management and staff.
  • Greets all guests and ensures an exceptional customer service experience.
  • Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
  • Communicates with housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean and ready to accommodate guests needs.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of business objectives in order to deliver quality products and service that meets guest needs.
  • Works in a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized manner abiding by all health and safety regulations.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and acts as a role model according to the established grooming and appearance policy.
  • Stays informed on casino facilities, as well as current and upcoming special events, in order to advise guests and fellow team members, whenever possible.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
