Hotel Franchise Finance Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager
About The Position
Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager for our Hotel Franchise Finance group in Commercial Banking. In this role, you will research complex credit investigations and diverse credit information for loans, identify opportunities for process improvements within the scope of your responsibilities or functional area, and review and identify basic operational assignments that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives while exercising independent judgment to guide medium-risk deliverables. You will also present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. You will collaborate and consult with functional colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders, including internal as well as external customers.
Requirements
- 2+ years of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Ability to perform in depth financial statement analysis including spreading financials
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of core banking products and services, such as commercial lending and treasury management
- Experience developing and maintaining external and internal partnerships
- Experience identifying and mitigating risk, ensuring compliance with processes and procedures
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, including ability to present to decision makers and customers in a professional and confident manner
- Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or related field
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge and understanding of commercial and specialty group banking products and services
- Experience in hotel finance, commercial real estate, or a related asset class, or a demonstrated interest in developing expertise in the hospitality sector, with a strong foundation in financial analysis, credit underwriting, and portfolio management
- Completion of a formal credit training program
- Experience with nCino a plus
