About The Position

Courtyard by Marriott Bettendorf is seeking a dependable part-time Barista to work Thursday and Sunday morning breakfast shifts. This role involves providing excellent guest service, explaining menu items, upselling food, and working collaboratively with the team to ensure guest satisfaction. The position also includes end-of-shift reporting and cash handling responsibilities. There is an opportunity to cross-train as a bartender for additional hours.

Responsibilities

Inform guests of specials and make suggestions regarding beverage and food options.
Explain all menu items (preparation and description) and upsell food items.
Observe and monitor guests to fulfill any additional requests and to ensure they are satisfied with beverages, food, and service.
Clear and reset tables at the end of each course or upon completion of the meal.
Work as a team with all personnel to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage service.
Communicate with dining room staff or kitchen staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
Properly run close of shift reports, deposit appropriate amount of money, tip out bus staff & bar staff as required, and declare correct tips on point-of-sale system.
Opportunity to cross train as a bartender for more hours.
