About The Position

This is a dynamic, hands-on service role where you will directly engage with guests, crafting exceptional beverage experiences and ensuring the bar operates seamlessly. You will be key to assuring guest satisfaction, repeat business, and a lively, welcoming atmosphere, demonstrating your ability to celebrate our value to "Bring the Energy."

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Bartender, preferably in a hotel or high-volume environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer.
  • Valid responsible alcohol service certification (e.g., TIPS, or state equivalent).
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and cash handling skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with major hotel brands (e.g., Choice, IHG, Marriott).

Responsibilities

  • Customarily and regularly prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with Sandpiper and brand standards.
  • Take food and beverage orders, accurately enter them into the POS system, and handle cash and credit transactions following proper procedures.
  • Ensure all bar service is executed with speed, accuracy, and a positive attitude.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and full stocking of the bar area, including all glassware, ingredients, and supplies.
  • Conduct accurate inventory counts as directed and assist in identifying and reporting low stock levels.
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies.
  • Strictly uphold all state and local regulations regarding the serving of alcohol, including age verification and responsible service practices.
  • Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, anticipating their needs and making appropriate menu recommendations.
  • Maintain a welcoming and lively bar atmosphere, promptly and courteously addressing any minor guest concerns.
  • Responsible for the security of the cash bank and all sales transactions conducted during the shift.
