About The Position

McMenamins Elks Temple is hiring for a Hotel Assistant Manager. McMenamins is a family-owned company in Oregon and Washington serving handcrafted beverages and pub fare. This position's primary responsibilities include assisting the Hotel Manager with all hotel operations, including daily activities related to the front desk, maintenance, and housekeeping departments. The Assistant Manager will be expected to perform the responsibilities of other hotel non-management positions and will be accountable for the daily activity and inner workings of the front desk, maintenance, and housekeeping departments.

Requirements

Prior hotel experience preferred
Customer service experience
Previous supervisory experience
Knowledge and comfort with computers
18+ years of age
Flexible schedule including days, evening, weekend and holiday availability

Responsibilities

Assisting the Hotel Manager with all Hotel related operations
Handling daily activity as it relates to the front desk, maintenance and housekeeping departments under the direction of the Hotel Manager & Property Manager
Performing the responsibilities of all other hotel non-management positions (front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, night audit, etc.)
Reservation management
Supervision of housekeeping, maintenance, and front desk employees
Assisting the Hotel Manager with scheduling and reporting payroll
Extensive communication with the front desk employees on any changes, errors or events on the property
Solving problems to ensure guest satisfaction
Inventory
Ordering supplies
Training and breaking staff
Enforcing and adhering to McMenamins and property policies and procedures
Maintaining customer relations
Helping the Hotel Manager with staff supervisory duties such as hiring, accurate documentation, employee discipline, and the fair treatment of the hotel staff
