About The Position

The Hotel Assistant Housekeeper helps ensure that guest rooms and common areas are cleaned to Town Pump and brand operational standards within the time frames specified for each guest type, supporting a positive guest experience. The role assists the head housekeeper with supervising housekeeping and laundry team members, including hiring, training, performance management, conflict resolution, discipline, and termination as required, as well as inventory and supply ordering. When the head housekeeper is absent, the Hotel Assistant Housekeeper assigns daily work, distributes assignments, inspects rooms, public areas, storerooms, and laundry, and provides regular feedback to team members. The position may also work as laundry staff, a room attendant, or lobby staff as needed. It requires a strong work ethic, pride and integrity in performance, confidentiality, professional communication, and knowledge of general housekeeping and recordkeeping.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Clean guest rooms and common areas to Town Pump and brand operational standards within specified time frames.
Assist the head housekeeper in supervising housekeeping and laundry team members, including participating in hiring, training, performance management, conflict resolution, discipline, and termination as required.
Complete inventory and order supplies.
Practice and reinforce safe working conditions in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines, including Bloodborne Pathogens guidelines.
In the absence of the head housekeeper, assign and distribute daily work for the housekeeping and laundry departments.
Inspect rooms, public areas, storerooms, and laundry, and provide regular feedback to team members.
Complete required company and brand-specific training and certifications in a timely manner.
Prepare the housekeeping cart upon arrival and at shift closing each day.
Follow Town Pump grooming and appearance guidelines and wear a uniform and name tag while on shift.
Work as laundry staff, a room attendant, or lobby staff as required, and perform other duties assigned by the head housekeeper.
Maintain confidentiality of guest and company information and communicate courteously and professionally with teammates, management, and guests.
