About The Position

JENNMAR Services is hiring full-time Hot Shot Drivers for local and over-the-road routes in the Washington and Greene County area. Drivers operate medium-duty trucks with specialized trailers to transport equipment, less-than-truckload freight, and materials to company and customer job sites. The role requires compliance with company and DOT requirements, safe handling and securement of loads, communication with dispatch and the Trucking Manager, and maintenance of accurate driving and delivery records. Requirements

Valid and current DOT medical card, or ability to obtain one; the company provides assistance.
At least 1 year of experience.
Clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
Ability to pass pre-employment drug, background, and MVR checks.
Valid driver's license with a CDL A endorsement.

Responsibilities

Operate medium-duty trucks with specialized trailers to haul equipment, less-than-truckload freight, and materials to company and customer job sites.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Drive and conduct operations according to company and DOT rules and regulations.
Secure load contents to prevent damage or breakage in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
Communicate with dispatch and the Trucking Manager as needed.
Oversee loading and unloading to prevent damage or breakage.
Notify the Trucking Manager or mechanics about required truck maintenance or repairs.
Maintain detailed delivery and driving logs according to DOT regulations.
Maintain valid certifications, a DOT medical card, and endorsements attached to a valid driver's license.
