Requirements

Bachelor’s or Associates degree in a technical field is required.
Minimum of 5 years technical leadership experience in coordinating production activities for heavily automated manufacturing environments and processes.
Must be proficient in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
Strong Safety awareness/experience and compliance.
Basic SAP & general computer knowledge required.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel/PowerPoint/Word.
Excellent planning, organizational and communication skills; must have the ability to organize, present and explain complex data in a clear manner to both internal and external customers.
Detail oriented with proven analytical, problem identification and resolution skills;
Ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere with team building experience; ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with supervisors, coworkers and management.

Nice To Haves

Seamless pipe manufacturing experience preferred.
Understanding of data acquisition systems such as IBA is preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure operations are in compliance with health and safety standards.
Oversee the hiring, orienting, and training of production employees to ensure a competent workforce.
Develop operations staff to an effective team by setting appropriate goals and expectations.
Oversee the production process to ensure the quality of our products.
Plan and coordinate daily production activities (maintain shift schedules, follow production schedules).
Coordinate with Hot Rolling Mill Maintenance, Tooling and Process Engineering regarding equipment maintenance and process improvements to achieve maximum mill performance.
Plan and coordinate down day and outage activities (e. g. industrial cleaning, 5S workshops etc.).
Initiate and/or be part of 5S workshops, root cause analysis meetings, continuous improvement activities.
Identify and lead capital projects.
Monitor and maintain the Hot Rolling Mill operations budget.
Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
