About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. We are seeking a safety-focused and results-driven Hot Mix Asphalt Lead Person to support daily plant operations, coordinate production activities, and help ensure the efficient manufacturing of high-quality asphalt products. This role serves as a key operational leader, promoting safety, quality, and teamwork while supporting plant performance goals.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate teams in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of asphalt plant operations, equipment, and production processes.
• Ability to identify operational issues, make sound decisions, and resolve problems effectively.
• Commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and comply with all company safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily asphalt plant operations to support safe, efficient, and productive manufacturing.
• Monitor production processes and plant performance to maintain product quality and operational excellence.
• Support and direct plant personnel to achieve production schedules and operational objectives.
• Perform inspections, troubleshooting, and coordination of maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability.
• Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
