About The Position

The Hot Meals Driver at LIFECARE ALLIANCE is responsible for delivering meals and other assigned items to clients residing in apartment buildings and complexes throughout Central Ohio. This role ensures that clients, particularly older adults and handicapped individuals, receive their meals promptly and reliably, contributing to their overall well-being and quality of life.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Previous experience in a delivery role, particularly in a similar setting such as food delivery or courier services.
• Familiarity with navigating Central Ohio, including understanding of local traffic patterns and efficient route planning.
• Must be able to read and write to accurately follow delivery instructions and complete necessary documentation.
• Strong time management skills to ensure timely deliveries and adherence to schedule.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and report any issues to management.
• Ability to operate a delivery vehicle safely and in compliance with all traffic regulations.
• Physical ability to lift and carry meal packages and other items as required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with older adults and handicapped individuals.
• Experience in a customer service role, demonstrating the ability to interact positively and professionally with clients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ordered meals and other assigned items to clients residing in apartment buildings and complexes throughout Central Ohio, ensuring timely and accurate service.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with clients, providing excellent customer service and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Ensure the safe handling and transportation of meals and items, adhering to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with the dispatch team to receive delivery instructions and report any issues or delays encountered during delivery.
• Assist clients, particularly older adults and handicapped individuals, with receiving their meals, ensuring accessibility and convenience.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries made, including time, location, and any special instructions or feedback from clients.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure the delivery vehicle is in optimal condition for safe transportation.
• Collaborate with team members to improve delivery processes and enhance client satisfaction.
• Participate in training sessions and meetings to stay informed about company policies, procedures, and updates related to the delivery service.
