About The Position

We are seeking a Hot Cook to help deliver exceptional dining experiences through fresh ingredients, scratch-made cooking, and genuine hospitality. In this role, you'll prepare and cook high-quality meals while maintaining food safety, sanitation, and quality standards in a healthcare environment. Working closely with the culinary team, you'll play an important role in ensuring every meal is prepared with care, consistency, and attention to detail. This opportunity is ideal for a team-oriented culinary professional who is passionate about food, service, and making a positive impact through REAL food.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Approximately one year of high-volume food production experience or equivalent culinary experience.
  • Knowledge of cooking methods, food preparation techniques, and commercial kitchen operations.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and safe food handling practices.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
  • Ability to follow recipes, production schedules, and written instructions with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced food service environment.
  • ServSafe®, Certified Professional Food Manager (CPFM), or Accredited Food Handler certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Passion for preparing fresh, high-quality food and delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes, production schedules, and quality standards.
  • Ensure meals are prepared, portioned, and presented consistently while meeting nutritional and operational requirements.
  • Support scratch-made food production using proper cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
  • Follow daily prep, production, storage, labeling, and inventory procedures.
  • Monitor food quality, temperatures, and holding practices to ensure a safe and exceptional dining experience.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas.
  • Support meal service, catering activities, and other culinary operations while meeting established timelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to promote a positive, efficient, and guest-focused environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
