About The Position

Work in a team to prepare, mix, and deliver hot chocolate to the Polar Express train before departure. This is a seasonal or temporary position, hired after November 3rd, located in Bryson City, NC. The role involves preparing hot chocolate service, loading supplies, operating a dishwasher, filling vending machines, mixing hot chocolate according to sanitation policies, and delivering supplies to the train cars. The position requires adherence to company standards, completion of cleaning checklists, and maintaining Health Department Regulations. Other duties may be requested.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.
  • Ability to be on your feet for up to 12 hours.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. to waist or overhead.
  • Good balance/equilibrium: walk on graveled, uneven and/or sloped surfaces that may be wet/slippery.
  • Must possess organizational skills with ability to multi-task while prioritizing workload with practical, flexible and innovative approach to work.
  • Ability to communicate successfully with a variety of personalities and function effectively as a member of a team.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and WorkSteps physical evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Cambro’s for hot chocolate service.
  • Load cases of mugs and tumblers for distribution.
  • Use dishwasher when needed.
  • Fill vending machines as requested.
  • Mix hot chocolate powder while following all sanitation policies.
  • Deliver finished hot chocolate Cambro’s, cases of mugs, and tumblers to the appropriate train car for attendants to distribute.
  • Adhere to and maintain company service standards, procedures, and policies.
  • Complete daily cleaning and organization checklists.
  • Maintain and exceed Health Department Regulations.
  • Other duties as requested.
