About The Position
The Hostler is responsible for moving trailers to and from the dock doors to ensure the efficient flow of trailers in and out of the facility. This role requires operating yard trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The Hostler will also assist with other yard operations as needed.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Ability to operate yard trucks and trailers.
- Knowledge of safe driving practices.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be able to work the specified shift hours, which are Tuesday - Thursday from 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM and Friday - Saturday from 1:00 AM - 9:30 AM.
- Hours are subject to change based on the needs of the business.
