About The Position
Grandfather Golf & Country Club is seeking a friendly and professional Hostess to join their team. This is a part-time position where the Hostess will be the first point of contact for members and guests, playing a key role in ensuring a memorable dining experience. The role requires careful adherence to well-defined work with consistency from day to day. The club is committed to providing exceptional service and seeks a team player who is detail-oriented, reliable, and passionate about hospitality in a beautiful environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 20 pounds.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and carry out repetitive motions as needed
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Abilitity to work efficiently in a busy dining environment
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in the food service industry preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Greeting guests as they arrive and seating them at tables in a timely and efficient manner.
- Answering phone calls, making reservations, and taking Togo food orders
- Communicating with servers and kitchen staff to ensure that all member/guest requests are met.
- Providing excellent customer service by answering questions and fulfilling special requests
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the hostess stand and lobby area.
- Assist supervisors with floor plans.
- Assist server, when needed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Clearing tables and resetting them for the next members/guests
- Assist with set up and break down of events
- Providing excellent customer service to our guests by answering questions and fulfilling special requests
- Assisting with other duties as assigned by management.
- Must be available to work holidays through July.
