About The Position
Performs a variety of duties related to verbal menu selection for patients. Delivers and collects patient food trays. Responsible for estimating and recording percentage of intake for patients for all ages.
Requirements
- High school degree or GED equivalent
- Reading, writing, and math skills
- Ability to understand written and oral instructions
- Good communication and telephone skills
- Pleasant disposition due to extensive patient contact
- Must be flexible and able to meet deadlines
- Must practice basic skills in sanitation and safety
- Must have knowledge of basic food groups
- Long hours of standing, walking, bending, pushing and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Able to perform short cycle repetitive duties under stressful situations
Nice To Haves
- Some computer knowledge useful
- Completion of coursework in Nutrition helpful
- Previous experience as a nursing assistant or in other patient-related position desirable
