About The Position

FUN and SPECTACULAR CUSTOMER SERVICE are at the heart of the Casino @ Dania Beach, a place where WORK = FUN. Working at our casino is about providing the best service and being a great team player! Join our F&B Team to provide the best customer service for our external and internal customers. Hostess needed Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain the appropriate state occupational license.
• Demonstrate Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
• Pays close attention to detail.
• Maintains professional but friendly demeanor.
• Capable to remain patient and polite when speaking to frustrated and argumentative guests.
• Demonstrates ability to read and interpret restaurant’s seating chart.
• Team worker; communicates clear and effectively.
• Possesses stamina required to remain walking and/or standing for an entire shift.
• Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Will be required to work a flexible schedule which includes nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must apply and obtain the appropriate state occupational gaming license, which includes lifetime FBI criminal background check.
• Must pass drug testing as per company's Drug Free Workplace Policy and applicable background checks.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma preferred.
• 2+ years of previous experience working as a Host / Hostess preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and patrons personally and on the telephone, welcome and lead guest to their tables.
• Offer appropriate seating arrangements, seat guest in an open section or at reserved table, answer phone calls and take reservations.
• Assigns guest evenly across different servers’ sections in the restaurant.
• Maintains seating chart. throughout the shift, add guest’s names to waitlist as necessary, notifies guest when table is ready.
• Keep the guest as comfortable as possible.
• Assist in setting up and cleaning up the restaurant during opening and closing.
• Maintain clean and organized tables and assist room service when and as needed.
• Keep the hostess station neat and organized.
• Report any problems, issues or complaints to the F & B MOD.
• Addresses and resolves customers concerns and complaints.
• Reorganize the seating chart in the event that a shortage of servers.
• Keeps in contact with servers to ensure the seating chart is properly balanced.
• Thanks, guest, for dining at the restaurant when they leave, inviting them to comeback.
• MUST be able to work weekends. Schedule is Thursday – Sunday.
• All other duties as assigned.
