About The Position

Game Night Out is a social entertainment venue that brings groups of friends, family and colleagues closer together through interactive party-game experiences, guided by live Hosts. The ‘Host’ position leads our guests through a series of original party-games to facilitate fun, engaging moments of authentic social interaction. An individual in this role will work as part of a Hosting team to deliver the Game Night Out experience to our guests with a high degree of consistency, professionalism, and care.

Requirements

Flexible availability. This role often works nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
Weekly available hours will vary based on events booked.
Must be able to handle physical activity as it relates to the job such as standing for extended durations, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and deep cleaning.
Required to sign a Non-disclosure Agreement for all proprietary information.
Required to obtain and maintain a valid BASSET certification.
Authorized to legally work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

Experience working as a performer or in the hospitality industry, hosting events, leading meetings or seminars, or teaching is a plus.

Responsibilities

Report for all scheduled shifts punctually in proper attire and meeting proper health and hygiene standards.
Set up game equipment and materials, ensuring they function properly prior to each reservation.
Reset and clean equipment and materials after each reservation.
Enthusiastically guide groups through a series of original party games. Clearly explain rules, patiently answer questions, physically demonstrate gameplay, facilitate friendly competition and social interaction among guests, and keep track of game scoring and rule integrity.
Assist MODs with beverage service by verifying guest IDs upon entry, discussing beverage options with guests, helping with menu selection, addressing any questions, and ensuring guests are assisted appropriately.
Monitor and promote safe beverage consumption.
Guide guests in their setup of personal items they have brought with them (such as decorations or food) in accordance with GNO standard operating procedures.
Attend training sessions and team meetings as required by management.
Successfully complete all assigned training.
Communicate regularly to your hosting partners, the Manager-On-Duty and Experience Manager.
Adhere to the Game Night Out’s standard operating procedures along with any reasonable requests made from Management during a shift.
