About The Position

Provide the highest level of quality and service to our guests in an incredibly friendly atmosphere. Act as the first point of contact for our guests as they arrive at the restaurant and assist them with their dining arrangements.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Must take and pass all training tests 85% or higher.

Nice To Haves

  • No previous experience required, however preferred.
  • None required; however, experience with Point of Sale system is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Greet all guests promptly with aloha and create a positive first impression.
  • Assist guests in making reservations as they call or arrive at the restaurant, utilizing Open Table reservation system.
  • Assign seating efficiently based on party size, guest needs, and server rotation, in coordination with the service team.
  • Answer questions regarding restaurant hours of operation, menu items, and assist guests with any other requests as needed.
  • Seat guests correctly at assigned table and provide them with necessary supplies such as menus, silverware, highchairs, etc.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls within 3 rings in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Be able to multi-task between assisting guests as they arrive, answering the telephone, and assisting coworkers.
  • Manage guest reservations and walk-ins using the reservation system (e.g., OpenTable), including accurate quoting of wait times.
  • Maintain awareness of table status and turnover to ensure accurate seating and minimize wait times.
  • Communicate wait times clearly and courteously; manage pager system or text notifications for waiting guests. Operate the electronic pager system according to the wait sheet and table availability.
  • Learn each server's name and corresponding section each shift and effectively rotate seating based on table availability.
  • Regularly perform restroom checks to ensure they are clean and adequately stocked.
  • Maintain clean, organized host stand and front entry area; sanitize menus and restock supplies as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management to support operational needs.
  • Report for work on time and uphold expectations for attendance, uniform, and professional conduct. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
