About The Position

Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa is seeking a Host for the Blind Salamander Restaurant. This role is responsible for greeting and seating guests in a friendly and courteous manner, assisting managers with opening and closing duties, answering phone calls, controlling the flow of guests at the restaurant entrance, and possessing knowledge of the hotel property, buffets, menus, daily specials, and assigning guest checks. Requirements

Minimum age requirement of 18 years
Be committed to providing exceptional customer service
Must have strong verbal and written communication skill
Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10lbs without assistance
Flexible Scheduling to include nights, weekends, and holidays
Must have alcohol training certification (TABC) and food handlers training certification

Prior host experience preferred

Responsibilities

Ensure all guests are greeted and seated in a friendly and courteous manner using appropriate procedures, in accordance with Omni Standards.
Assist managers in opening and closing.
Answering phone calls.
Seating guests.
Control heavy volume at Restaurant entrance.
Knowledge of hotel property.
Inform the guest about buffets.
Attend to and anticipate guests needs.
Familiarization with menu.
Introduce server to guest.
Greeting guests.
Knowledge of daily specials.
Assign guest checks.
