About The Position
Renaissance Allentown is seeking a welcoming and professional Host/Hostess to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience.
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read, speak, and write in English fluently.
- Professional phone etiquette and reservation management skills.
- Able to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
Nice To Haves
- One year of prior work experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat all guests with professionalism and warmth.
- Maintain an organized seating chart using the “Open Table” reservation system.
- Ensure tables are properly set before seating guests.
- Answer phone calls and assist with reservations following all procedures.
- Accurately handle cash and room charge transactions.
- Keep the host podium clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Ensure menus are clean and presentable before each shift.
- Be knowledgeable about the hotel facilities, including their locations and hours of operation.
