About The Position
Join our energetic team at New Realm Brewing Co. in Virginia Beach! We are looking for friendly, dependable team members with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. No experience is needed as we provide training. As a Host, you will be responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, answering phone calls, and ensuring a great first impression for our customers. This role is crucial in keeping our service running smoothly and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Requirements
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to effectively present our menu to guests and answer questions.
- Must be able to speak English.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Responsibilities
- Arrive on time and ready to support the team.
- Welcome guests warmly and help them get seated.
- Manage walk-in guests, waitlists, and reservations through Resy.
- Answer phone calls politely and assist with guest questions.
- Communicate with servers and managers about seating and guest needs.
- Help address guest concerns and involve a manager when needed.
- Keep the host stand and entrance clean and organized.
- Complete sidework and opening and closing duties.
- Help maintain a safe and secure work environment.
- Follow the standards outlined in training and the employee handbook.
