About The Position

The Host is a tipped position that plays a key role in setting the tone for each guest's visit, providing a friendly and attentive greeting, coordinating seating to optimize both the guest experience and the efficiency of service. This position will work closely with the front-of-house team and management to ensure a smooth flow of guests throughout service.

Nice To Haves

Previous hosting or customer service experience in restaurant or hospitality environment preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Warmly greet guests upon arrival with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Manage check-in process for walk-in guests.
Escort guests to their tables, presenting menus and highlighting seasonal specials.
Respond to guests inquiries and accommodate special seating requests when possible.
Communicate wait times clearly and accurately to guests.
Coordinate with servers and management to ensure smooth table transition.
Relay guest requests, special occasions, and dietary needs to appropriate staff members.
Assist with opening and closing procedures, along with side work throughout shift.
Assist with front-of-house setup, organization, and upkeep during service.
Support overall flow of the dining room, helping to maintain a calm, inviting atmosphere.
This position could also be cross trained with our cashier position.
