About The Position

Idaho's Best Seafood Restaurant is seeking a friendly and organized Host to be the first point of contact for guests. This role is crucial in creating a positive and memorable dining experience by greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth transition between the waiting area and dining tables. The position is with OTL Restaurant Group, a dynamic restaurant group with 10 locations across Idaho, Arizona, and Colorado, dedicated to providing exceptional dining experiences with a focus on quality, hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Requirements

  • Be 16 years of age.
  • Possess a positive attitude and work well with other team members.
  • Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
  • Must be able to work unsupervised.
  • Must be available to work between the hours of 10:00 am to 11:00pm.
  • Must be able to stand and work for up to 4 hours at a time.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motion work without the assistance of restraints, braces or other incumbrances that limit range of motion or physical activity.
  • Must be able to lift, move and shelve products and materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in temperatures exceeding 85 for extended periods of time.
  • Be willing to follow direction and ask questions for clarification if needed.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a GUEST focus while performing duties.
  • Greet and seat guests, present menus to guests, inform them of specials, soups and their server’s name.
  • Maintain wait list, record accurate guest information and quote wait times accurately when tables are not immediately available.
  • Maintain reservation book, record accurate guest information. Run floor plan board.
  • Observe tables to keep track of clean, dirty and occupied tables. Communicate guest needs or requests effectively with server staff. Clean, organize and stock menus at host area.
  • Answer phone calls.
  • Answer questions concerning the menu and restaurant.
  • Thank all guests as the leave the restaurant and invite them to return.
  • Assist in clearing tables as needed.
  • Prepare beverages and expedite food orders as needed.
