About The Position

The Host position at Boketto Restaurant is responsible for creating a welcoming and positive first impression for guests. This role requires a polished, fun, personalized, modern, warm, and sincere approach to service. The Host will manage guest check-ins, reservations, and takeout orders using the Open Table system, ensuring a smooth flow of service and a positive dining experience. The Host plays a crucial role in embodying the restaurant's vision of 'Being the Leading Purveyor of the Spirit of Hospitality by making sure Every Guest is Leaving Happy!' This fast-paced role demands excellent communication and organizational skills, performed with a smile.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills (verbally interacts with management, servers, team members and guests).
Basic reading skills.
Basic computer skills.
Must visually scan restaurant for clean, unoccupied tables.
Ability to work well with others and independently.
Ability to organize and multi-task.

Responsibilities

Check in all employees and highlight on the Open Table system.
Answer the phone, take reservations, and take takeout orders.
Ensure menus are clean and organized.
Greet, check in, and seat guests.
Print special chits from Open Table with special instructions and hand them off to servers upon their check-in.
Review all Open Table reservations and map out the plan for the shift.
Utilize Open Table to capture important guest information.
Work with the manager on the floor to ensure proper wait times.
Ensure restrooms and the host stand are clean, stocked, and organized.
Interact with guests to ensure a positive dining experience.
