About The Position

The Host is responsible for being the positive and engaging first and last impression for our Guests. This role involves greeting, seating, communicating with, and carding every guest in a professional and friendly manner. The Host must manage occupancy standards, crowd control, and comply with laws regarding capacity. They will also manage quotes and wait times based on Bar Louie standards, ensuring guest numbers do not exceed maximum limits. Maintaining Bar Louie safety and sanitation standards, knowledge of liquor laws, and alerting managers to potential issues are key aspects of this role. The Host is expected to be a team player, assist in table maintenance, and uphold all Employee Handbook standards and expectations.

Requirements

Must be alert to Team Member and Guest needs
Command of the English language
Must be able to stand 8-10 hours
Good listening and verbal communication skills
Good hearing for safety and accurate communication
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Basic computer skills
Guest 1st Mentality
Knowledge of basic hospitality with a fully engaged, service minded attitude
Passes alcohol certification.
Passes general information quiz and department tests with 90% or higher.

Responsibilities

Performs door host set up, opening duties, side work and closing duties.
Is the positive and engaging first and last impression for our Guests.

Managers quotes and wait times based on bar Louie standards.
Ensures number of Guest does not exceed “maximum” limit set.
Maintains Bar Louie safety standards and sanitation standards.
Knowledge of and abides by, all liquor laws.
Alerts managers to potential hostile situations.
Alerts manager immediately if intoxicated guest attempts to enter Bar Louie.
Assists in table maintenance when able.

Looks for opportunities to establish TDNHTDT.
Passes alcohol certification.
Passes general information quiz and department tests with 90% or higher.
Takes breaks in compliance with Bar Louie Standards and local and state laws.
Keeps a clean and professional appearance at all times.
Believes in and follows all Employee Handbook standards and expectations.

Punches in, and reports to manager on time and in full uniform for every shift.
Obtains manager’s approval prior to punching out and leaving the work area.
