Host, Real Sports Bar and Grill
About The Position
As a valuable member of Real Sports, you will be responsible for the delivery of winning food & beverage service to our guests. Specific Duties Welcome guests in a professional and friendly manner, displaying welcoming body language and creating a positive first impression. Ensure all menus are clean and tidy before the start of each shift. Review reservations; update and maintain guest profiles. Present and maintain menus. Work with the Service Manager to prepare and organize seating plans. Seat guests according to the seating plan. Communicate any special requests to the team. Create a lasting impression, personalize your farewells. Maximize the capacity of the dining room by assisting with table re-setting and other duties as the need arises. Assist Bussers, Servers, Bartenders, and Managers as needed. Support with any duties necessary in times of need as requested by managers Knowledge of our food and beverage offerings including product allergies Complete washroom checks Adhere to MLSE Service Standards and Policies. Follow all MLSE Health & Safety Policies and Procedures. Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Requirements
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including days, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be Smart Serve Certified.
- 2+ years of hosting position experience preferred.
- Previous experience in high-volume restaurants preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
